Could a Trump Presidency Revive Russia’s Arctic LNG Project Amidst U.S. Sanctions?

Arctic LNG projects have a couple of fundamental problems that have little to do with Trump or the US. Drilling holes is expensive anywhere, it’s way more expensive in the Arctic. Running complex liquefaction processes is way more expensive in the Arctic than anywhere else. And fetching that LNG from where it is produced in the Arctic to bring it to a market that pays a buck is hugely expensive too as you need special, ice-class ships that cost a pretty buck to buy and to run. LNG from Russia can only make money when prices for LNG are on the very high side. if prices go down only a little, they must be in the red pretty much all of the time.
