Surprise, surprise – people don’t want to live in dystopia. I remember the hype when the first wind generator was erected in the area where my parents live. Everyone was there, the mayor gave a speech and there was a big party. People celebrated as if there was free milk and honey for everyone forever. That was many years ago and people have started to understand what a shit sandwich they have been made to consume. Those contraptions are ugly, sometimes dangerous, and sometimes really loud. You don’t want to live close to one. Don’t believe it – there is plenty of real estate for sale close to those monsters. Go for it.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
