Crazy Like a Fox: Trump’s Greenland Pitch

For the last 70-80 years, the international order has allowed nations that could not make it otherwise to flourish. The US guaranteed safety on the oceans and the Cold War froze borders with the superpowers breathing down each other’s necks making sure nothing ever moved. But there is such a thing of a nation that is not able to survive on its own and Greenland is not the only one. I am not a fan of armed intervention – let’s call it conquest. But appealing to common sense and to the people that live in a nation to join up with a nation thats strong enough to guarantee safety and economic well-being will be a thing again.
