Electrical lines are fixed infrastructure. So are pipelines. Ever since I looked into the energy world the first time, I understood that pipes are a very efficient way to distribute or transfer energy, or a lot of other stuff. And this remains true in many cases. That being said, splitting energy deliveries into lumps may be less efficient, but it’s also a lot more secure. That may be less of an upside in a very safe world, but when things get more and more uncertain as they do now, you may want to consider putting a premium on the security of supply. You can interrupt transmission lines. It’s way harder to take out a delivery milk run of lumps of energy. Thats the difference between pipeline gas and LNG.
