Decolonizing Science: Every Decolonizer Is A Liar

Every team, no matter what organization it is embedded in, knows the types. There are always those who don’t pull their weight and do not show a shred of competence but you can bet your bottom dollar that they will join any cause they might be able to join allowing them to conceal their own uselessness, laziness, and sheer incompetence and still make a career. You can recognize those types very easily. They speak in buzzwords with fuzzy meanings and they shy away from anything that resembles a true discussion. Science should be factual only – it never was.

Every person who says they want to decolonize science, or math, or medicine, or whatever, is a liar. They do not tell the truth. They do not want to decolonize anything. They want to colonize…

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
