When I was a boy in Austria and went to public school, it was part of the school curriculum to see a Concentration Camp from the inside for a day. Every Austrian pupil at the time got a taster of the unfathomable horribleness of what Naziism is. Of what it means to every single one of us. What it means to wipe out entire populations. It’s a valuable lesson to show us what depravity humans are capable of—a reminder of sorts. We like to think that we have overcome. But what I read here shows me that we have not. Degrowth means death and misery for billions.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
