So when it’s cold and there is no wind, they want to be able to switch off your heat pump. Gone is your warm home. Never mind that when it’s really cold, heat pumps are not very efficient anyhow. And the rest of the warmth will go out the window when they switch your heat pump off remotely. What if that happens for days on end? Cannot happen you say? How many such promises have been broken so far? Pretty much every single one. If something can be done, it will be done. First, they goad you into implementing their expensive and non-working solution. And then you don’t even get that. Welcome to the new idiocracy.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
