Did Climate Change Cause the Fall of the Roman Empire?

It’s not only the Roman Empire that rose and fell because of – among many other reasons – Climate Change. About 1200 years before the Roman Empire even came into existence, long before the Republic and even the Roman Kingdom, a series of events did away with most empires of the ancient Middle East. It was the Bronze Age collapse when the Sea People invaded the Eastern Mediterranean. The Philistines were one such group of people from the Greek world that came to settle in and around what is Gaza today. Those people were also the grains of sand being blown around by the winds of change. It happened long before the industrial age – why would it stop now?
