Life is dangerous by nature. We could all dig holes in the ground and live in them for safety but what would life be about then? Some of the best moments of my life were when I was not in perilous danger but in a somewhat moderately unusual situation. I traveled in countries deemed unsafe but I rarely ever felt in real danger as I observed some simple things such as never getting drunk or being wary of what strangers tell you. I know how bad humans can be towards each other and try not to be too gullible—simple things – no need to go overboard. But fear is a good tool to keep the masses compliant and where that may get us we have seen about 80 years ago in a part of Europe.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
