Drilling rig count climbs at fastest rate since the pandemic began

People seem to live in la-la-land. Haven’t we noticed that oil prices are in rather exciting territory right now? I can remember pre-COVID times when shale company CEOs would have sold their grannies whipping chairs for prices as we have them right now. Shale is back in growth territory. And conventional oil is still in “licking wounds” mode. This is not a match – it’s a slugfest.

Optimism has also been buoyed by expectations that global crude supplies won’t grow fast enough to satisfy demand as Covid-19 vaccinations proliferate and economies that shut down for the better part of a year begin…

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
