Economics of clean hydrogen and ammonia ‘very challenged’ – Aramco

Let’s just assume for the sake of argument that Saudi Arabia is really the lowest cost producer of hydrogen (and I would take that affirmation with a big grain of salt) then there is still the problem of how to get the hydrogen where it is required. Hydrogen is a very hard substance to transport and store which makes it expensive. The nonsensical idea that Natural Gas infrastructure could be used on an as-is basis turns out to be insane. Natural Gas is a very tame, safe, and non-corrosive substance. Hydrogen is the extreme opposite. Good luck with that.
