Let there not be any doubt about this. Those 200 billion of your money was supposed to come from wind and solar developers. Because it’s only them who need it. Conventional energy sources would not need such a monster grid as it produces electricity on demand. But wind plus solar still runs around and tells anyone who does not want to hear it that they are the cheapest option. That’s not true even if you don’t factor the cost for grid expansion in. But if you throw in the real cost they cause then we are not even “not-close”. We are far far away from cheap, let alone the cheapest.
