Egypt to raise Israeli natural gas imports by 20% as of October

I have long argued that Israel should not export its domestically produced energy but rather strive to use what they have while reducing import dependency. Israel imports a lot of oil. It comes from the international market so there will always be oil for Israel but will there always be a secure way of getting it towards the country? The Natural gas produced in Israel could be liquefied and used as a fuel for all heavy engines from trucks to busses to construction machinery, domestic shipping, diesel rail, and mining. This is a mature technology and Israel is a small country so this could be done relatively quickly. With Israel’s knack for innovation, they would likely improve on the existing technology base. All homegrown.
