Egyptian player rolls up its sleeves to assist in developing first LNG project in Tanzania

The Tanzania LNG project had already been proposed when I was working for an Oil & Gas company. That was more than 13 years ago and they are not one step further with their project. Tanzania fell victim to a common scourge of the LNG world. As soon as a government sees that there is the potential for one, they see it as a get-rich-quick scheme that must make their political backers rich privately before anything has been done, and that must also resolve all the myriad of issues the country faces due to its political leadership. No surprise the project was never able to fulfill unrealistic expectations. Good luck.

Rosetta Energy Solutions has signed an HoT agreement with Tanzania's TPDC and Africa50 to develop Tanzania's first small-scale LNG project.
