EIA: Renewables no longer expected to be #1 by 2050

Worry not – Renewables won’t even go near rivaling reliable forms of energy ever. I would guess that 20% of renewables in power production (not total energy but just power production) puts the grid under massive strain if the grid cannot export its inflexibility as Germany does. 30% of power production will lead to massive blackouts and electricity rationing and anything beyond would be pandemonium. Lots of elections will be lost before that happens. Renewables will never be nr. 1 except in subsidies burning.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
