This is the defining conflict of the next 10 years. As long as the elites could cook the books and shower everything with printed money (debt to our children and grandchildren) they kept the masses sweet and did their disgusting trade in the shadow. Not many cared. But now the essential substance of every economy is fundamentally skewered by decades of corruption and thievery. And those on top need more effective tools to rein in the unruly public. Its COVID policies now, it will be whatever suits them at the moment later. And as I expected, the elites overplayed their hand.
