Sure he wants a carbon tax. He seems to still think that this will make his competitor’s vehicles way more expensive so that the cost advantage ICE vehicles enjoy melts away. But he might have not chewed this one down to the bone. See, Electric Vehicles contain a lot of materials that actually have a very heavy carbon footprint, first of all, the batteries. And there are studies that show how many years it takes until this backpack of carbon equalizes with a modern ICE. How long until the activists catch up to that?
