Elon Musk’s DOGE Adventure Leads to Knotty Accounting Question for Tesla

It’s not the only problem facing Tesla. The carmaker can only survive because of lavish subsidies for Electric Vehicles and those have an expiry date in most countries. Also, people are sick of all the other advantages Electric Vehicles enjoy and there is an urge to cut down on that too. This means that at the size the automaker has today, it must go bust in time as serving an elite only works if you are a niche maker. But Tesla needs numbers. As much as I like what Elon does at SpaceX (and I clearly don’t agree with everything being done there as well) Tesla has been a dead man walking for a while and this drive to bring political corruption down might mean its end. Ironic.
