Energy infrastructure attacks are ‘probable’: Oil traders fear supply disruptions in the Middle East
None of the Gulf states can afford a real confrontation. And the fallout of such a conflict would hit especially China as it depends on oil from the Gulf. China cannot possibly be cool in this situation so I expect some frantic back and forth diplomacy to mend things. The US has won itself some real independence with its shale production. Insecurity in the Gulf will make the value of US shale go up.
