ESG Crusade On Backburner As World Grapples With Energy Crisis
Don’t count ESG out yet. Yes, the world has to deal with real problems and ESG will have to get creative to justify its punch but those activists are not going to go away any time soon and there simply is way too much money to be made. In my own country politicians already claim that more wind and solar would make us independent from Russian gas and hence we should drop legislation that always protected people. Expect long and complicated legal battles. If companies want to go about their business, they will want to comply. Questions about Right and Wrong come later. This is a long haul.
