EU Officials Discuss Restart of Russian Gas as Part of Ukraine Peace Deal

They are still living in Lala Land. Russia has a very different problem now. Since the North Stream Lines are done for and the main trunk of the remaining export infrastructure goes through Ukraine, only the much smaller Yamal through Poland and the Black Sea lines remain. They can’t deliver the volumes Europe needs and the upstream fields of the big trunkline through Ukraine are depleting. This gas source was going away even if the Ukraine war had never started in the first place. It could be argued that Putin needed to launch his war before Europe found out that Russia had a gas problem.
