Europe backs Egypt’s green ambitions

It’s funny to watch all those declarations and virtual projects. Any observer of the hydrogen scene must have concluded that the bubble has popped. Policymakers start to understand that this would cost way more money than they can even print. They start to realize that elections will be lost on this issue but they can’t turn on their heels as it still has some dead momentum. So they need to make declarations without any intention of putting money where their mouths are. Egypt believes that Europe will cover it in gold. Europe believes that Egypt will produce cheap hydrogen. Both will be deeply disappointed.
