Europe takes climate fight global as carbon border tax goes live

Wait a minute. We are on the cusp of an unprecedented period of growth due to cheap and reliable shale gas and oil and post-globalization re-industrialization. No, that’s North America. We have endless masses of cheap labor and are willing to poison our environment for export revenue. No that’s parts of Asia. Europe is on the cusp of the longest and deepest economic rut ever. And it’s an energy importer. All those extra taxes will do is make life more expensive for Europe’s companies and inhabitants. Only politicians can think such nonsense up.

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism enters a trial phase on Sunday.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
