I don’t want to give you any cute stories about my past. When the Euro was announced, I was a fan. I loved the idea that there would be one currency in most of Europe and we would not have to exchange money on every trip anymore. I actually wanted to go a step further and have a Transatlantic currency. Thats how naive youth can be. I lived in a dream world and the last 20 years were an exercise in popping the bubble open. Today, in 2022 I fully support my countries exit from the European Union and its common currency. It will be extremely painful and still, it would be worth it.
