Europe’s ambitious net-zero pledges hit home—with eye-watering energy bills
Europe might be a potent lesson for the rest of the world. It has been sick for decades. A few decades ago, Europe held a fair share of the best and biggest, and most innovative companies worldwide. Today, only a few exist and they are all on a downward trajectory. We have saddled ourselves with so much self-righteous crap wanting to show the world how good we are that we have destroyed it all. This winter will be a tragedy. Not only for the high heating prices the people will have to suffer. It also pulls the rug out under already reeling European companies. We created this monster over decades – it will take at least as long to resolve it. But first, we must stop digging.
