Europe’s Industry Risks ‘Demand Destruction’ Over Price Hikes
The price spikes are just one more straw and the camel’s back broke long ago. Europe is on its way into regulatory overkill and its politicians are afraid of activists and their own people. Europe has not developed shale, it has largely forgone nuclear and is woefully dependent on energy imports. Its labor costs are famously high and now even once famed legal stability and innovation go out of the window as European companies are not allowed anymore to do what they do best. The abolition of the Internal Combustion Engine is just one case in point. That ain’t good.
