EVs could act as storage for US grid
Sure thing. Judging by what one year of charging-discharging does to my mobile phone I want to limit those operations as much as it’s reasonable. The last thing I want is someone from the outside to use my battery as some sort of grid flex as it uses up even more of my battery’s life. There will be people falling for it – and when their expensive vehicles are basically scrap they will complain. We should not listen but let them be a warning to the rest of us.
