Expanding the Supply Chain for Rare Earth Materials

Rare Earth Materials are not rare at all. We could produce them in many places. But their production is very, very destructive to the environment which is why they are mainly extracted in countries that don’ care too much about the environment. If we use a lot of them in developed countries, we only export our environmental destruction. So we can have them cheaper. Imagine the new energy economy without those materials, or at a price that would actually protect the environment. A quandary.
