Failed State? America’s Leaders Have Taken Us To A Place Where We Could Literally Run Out of Electricity

Does America have problems with its green extremists and its energy policy? No doubt it has. But this does not make it a failed state – not by a long shot. There are states where you might be more justified to come to that conclusion but this is not uniform over the entire territory. Its federal structure saves the US once more as those who fail will be counteracted by those who make much more sensible policy choices. But whatever it turns out to be in the end, shale gives the US a fast and easy option. Most European nations don’t have that option. They could kickstart shale on their territories but that would be a slow, drawn-out process that won’t produce noticeable results before a decade. America still looks very much like the promised land to me.
