Failing Computer Models
Computer models are opinions – nothing else. They dont prove anything. I remember my days as a Business Developer in a Trading company. We developed plenty of all kinds of models. I simulated entire value chains in EXCEL. I included models in contracts. I used them extensively to understand the gas world. What I did not do was mistaking them for reality. And my models were simple compared to what climate researcher do. The more variables I used, the more I failed. Climate models may be useful – but they are not data. Just opinions – to be verified by measurements. Those are data.
