Farmers Rejecting Wind Power Projects to Avoid Massive Clean Up Costs

The forces on those wind turbine towers are massive and that’s why every single one of them needs some of the most massive foundations one can imagine. Giant hunks of steel and concrete anchor those contraptions in the soil. Those hunks are not seen from the surface which is why they like to be omitted from the cleanup costs. But they are still there and the piece of land they cover is unusable after the turbine has gone. Cleaning up after wind and solar is a massive debt we have saddled future generations with.
