Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Use of the Social Cost of Carbon
We always talk about the social cost of carbon – why don’t we talk about the social benefits of carbon. Every calculus that only looks at one side of the equation is by definition erroneous at best. Constantly willfully ignoring it is fraudulent at worst and we must consider this. Carbon is the basis of life and we know today that the planet has greened quite a bit because of the increased CO2. Why don’t we try to put up a figure for this. It might be bigger than the cost figure.
