For Mexico’s president, the future isn’t renewable energy — it’s coal
Virtue signaling seems not to be a big issue in Mexico. I understand – Mexicans want energy and want their lives to improve. They seem to understand that empty gesturing and running after crazy ideas don’t get them any closer to any of those. Their lives are hard enough without those. But we are not tough – we are coddled and think that good things will fall from the sky if we wish that strong enough. It will be a hard awakening. We will go back to coal – not tomorrow. But we will when we have suffered enough.
