Ford UK says any delay on government petrol car ban risks EV transition

We are just managers and we are not to blame if we have put the company on a course that might entail our downfall. It’s politics that’s to blame for our truly stupid decision-making, lack of spine, and lack of competence to gauge future demand and developments correctly. That is what they say and it’s more than pitiful. We look up to management for solutions to our pressing problems when management is the real problem many companies have. They are nothing more than a vastly overpaid liability. Shareholders holding managers responsible clearly does not work.

The chair of Ford UK said Britain risked undermining the country's transition to electric vehicles (EV) if the government relaxes its current target to ban new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030.
