Four tankers still at sea with unsold cargoes with Russia’s Arctic LNG 2

If they can’t sell their LNG, they have a bigger problem than with oil. LNG is a cryoliquid and must be shielded from the warmth of the environment by insulation. Even on a freezing day in the Arctic, LNG’s boiling point is still at least 100 degrees Celsius lower. If you were LNG and you held your hands out in Antarctica on a very cold day it would feel like in the Sauna. Besides, there is not an unlimited amount of LNG tankers out there so if this LNG sits in the tankers and waits until it’s evaporated, the onshore holding tanks are reaching tank tops which means they must curb production. How long can they play this game?
