Gazprom Unveils New Gas Deposit

More gas from Yamal – not really surprising at the resource base up there seems to be almost limitless. But contrary to what many seem to believe, those are no easy developments. And when something is not easy in gas it means that it’s on the pricey side. I don’t have figures for their development cost but I would wager that considering current gas prices in Europe and also considering the true transport cost from Yamal to Europe, Gazprom does not make money. It’s all operating on fumes. But what do I know?

Gazprom (MCX: GAZP) has revealed that a new gas deposit has been discovered at the Leningradskoye field of the Yamal gas production center.
