GCC plays catch-up with green megaprojects
It’s easy to put big bucks o virtue-signaling green projects while the income from black gold is so bountiful. But when oil revenues go down, scarcer cash goes to things that are more important as most of the Gulf countries have very fragile social peace without the constant dole courtesy of oil income. When people are hurting, ask them if they prefer to spend money on green crap or on essentials.
