German vows to insulate industry from costs of culling coal
There is only one way how Germany could insulate its industry from the high price folly they have created themselves – they must subsidize industry which means that they will need to raise taxes or cut social spending in order to keep industry from moving out. I wonder how that would go down with the population? In the end, this all is a huge push for gas as something that works economically will have to come and save the day.
Germany will protect its manufacturing industry from the impact of abandoning cheap coal-fired power, which Berlin is looking to ditch for environmental reasons, its economy minister said.
