Germany Risks Wasting Billions on LNG Projects, Report Says

Germany would have had a faster and easier way to get more LNG into its system fast. While developing its own terminals it could have invested in those already existing in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Poland for expansion. Sometimes it just needs another jetty and more regas skids plus some pipeline upgrading. All faster than developing new terminals. But then again, no matter how they do it, Germany faces a much more fundamental problem which is that its industries are leaving or closing shop at a very rapid clip. If that goes on for just another few years, there won’t be much to save. There is already talk about shale in Germany now. Thats the last chance they have.
