Who would have thought that snow on a solar panel has an impact on its power output? But before you start claiming that this problem does not exist in a desert as there is no snow, I have bad news for you. Dust and sand might not be as immediately bad news as snow is but it still reduces power output drastically. So those panels have to be cleaned from whatever covers them. This requires energy and the person doing it won’t do it for free. Another brick on the cost stack for solar power. There are so many others. Paid by the limitless stream of money coming from squeezed white tax- and ratepayers.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
