Ghana plans to become West Africa’s gas hub with import terminal
Ghana wants to become a regional hub? Then listen up. West African pipelines are a sham. The only decent one brings gas from Nigeria. Distributing gas is hard there. Infrastructure is just an endemic problem. The reality of Western African Transport is truck and water if possible. Build a bulk break terminal allowing to land big cargos and take off very small cargos of a few thousand m3 to supply coastal communities. Also, build truck loading so trucks can bring the LNG inland. Making a hub happen is more than ministerial announcements and smart contracts – it’s down to Earth hard work.
