Global LNG oversupply set to continue until mid-year
It’s going to continue until mid-year? And what then? Then we go into even harder oversupply. I don’t want to break your illusions but this oversupply is not going to end this year – and not even next. This is going to get a lot harder even as there is a lot of new LNG capacity coming online over the next 3 years and market demand is nowhere near where it needs to be in order to absorb that. The only economy with real growth potential is North America and they are vomiting LNG into the market and swim in supercheap gas. Some people seem to have expensive purchase portfolios and must find a way to stay sane.
