Government refusal of North Sea natural gas field is irrational
I can see a moment – not in the far future – when Boris will have to answer for refusing to produce new oil and gas from the North Sea which is at the UK’s doorstep while at the same time Britons freeze to death. We are going into a very hard and cold winter and if energy is a problem now, how is it going to be in winter? Will Boris survive the political fallout of dead people in winter? I don’t envy him for the position but that being said, I would also not restrict oil and gas drilling. The worst is not over – it is still to come. You ain’t seen nothin yet.
