GREAT BARRIER REEF : Still Colourful Corals and Curious Fish
The oldest reefs are hundreds of millions of years old. The planet has been a whole lot warmer during the dinosaurs and some old reefs go back to this time. How did they survive a climate that was very noticeably warmer than today when there were no ice caps on the poles as we know there was a rainforest on the south pole. Thats how warm it was – not just two degrees warmer. So if those old reefs have survived much, much warmer times int he planets history, something about this claim that Global Warming causes reefs to die must be complete garbage. As we can see today. China pouring trillions of tons of concrete in the South China Sea destroys way more reefs than all other causes combined.
