Green British Academics Blast Politicians for Allowing Consumer Choice

It’s almost always the academic classes (i.e. the elites or those who like to think of themselves as elites) that push crazy ideas and as they think they are the only ones with brains, they want to tell people how to think, to eat, to walk or to sleep. All murderous and dictatorial regimes have originated in such circumstances and in the closed gardens of the imagined elites. When people don’t have to face immediate blowback for their choices when they don’t have skin in the game they start to push madness. There is no price to pay. Our risk-reward system is broken. Freeloaders – and many academics are freeloaders of a special kind – should not have any say in how society runs.

British Academics have blamed the Government’s “laissez-faire approach of simply going with the grain of consumer choice” for Britain’s failure to tackle CO2 emissions.
