Most revolutions have eaten their children. Just think of the archetype of all revolutions – the big french revolution of 1789. It toppled the monarchy, instituted a radical regime that became famous for chopping heads off, killed most of the most famous revolutionaries, and went back to monarchy in its most exuberant form – the empire which laid waste to Europe. This revolution also eats its children. Radicals will oppose anything that allows humans to survive. There is no middle ground for them.
