Many times we had the feeling that shale is the end of history. Everything that can be done to innovate in oil and gas has been done. Bull – as the recently deceased Richard Feynman used to say so eloquently- there is plenty of space at the bottom. Innovation in shale is hitting the high gear now as those that survive the debt crunch must compete come hell and high water. Ad if I now one thing it’s not to mess with a meat-eating entrepreneur when he is cornered.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
