Wind and solar have used up all the grid overcapacity that had been built in the past to keep us safe from extraordinary events. Now, not only is the safety margin gone, but it has gone much further than that as the basic grid cannot cope anymore with what wind and solar need, and the demand pattern also changes drastically. Will forcing people to consume when they don’t need to and be cold and miserable when they need power be enough and satisfy the green advocates? Sure not – this is a further step and when it does not suffice anymore, there will be much more stringent measures. Kiss basic freedoms goodbye.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
