Hawaii relies on Russian oil — but clean energy could change that

One thing I find revolting is that the US is the biggest oil producer on the planet now and still Hawai needs oil from Russia. US oil should be the cheapest inside the US. Yes, I know retooling is in the works as shale is light and sweet but shale has not jumped out of a dark corner yesterday evening. There was plenty of time. Oh, and the renewables thing. Look at Europe. Look at Germany. Look at California. Do you have any feeling that in any of those countries oil and gas use are receding? Not in the cards. Not any time soon. Good luck Hawai.
