How investor pressure prompted oil majors to wake up to climate change

Majors are not waking up to anything. They just use this whole turmoil to clean out some stupid projects they have gotten themselves into in the past. And they need the tax money they get for RE developments to cover up their many skeletons in the closet. A major is still a for-profit company and if taxpayers wave with wads of cash, why would they forego that?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
